Account deletion — Hidden Word
You can delete either a guest account or a connected Google account directly from the application. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Delete directly from the app
- Open Hidden Word.
- Open Settings.
- Select Delete account.
- Read the warning and confirm deletion.
The app requests deletion only for the account authenticated at that moment. You cannot provide another person’s identifier.
Request deletion without app access
If you connected Google and can no longer access the app, send the request from the associated Google email address to dwebegineering.support@gmail.com with the subject “Hidden Word account deletion”. We may request additional information strictly to verify ownership.
For an anonymous-only account, deletion from the app is the secure method. If the device and session are no longer available, we may be unable to identify or verify that account without a technical identifier supplied earlier.
Data deleted
- the authentication identity and Google connection stored by Supabase;
- profile, language, difficulty, and preferences;
- progress, attempts, round events, results, scores, and stars;
- hint balance and history and reward events associated with the account.
Data that may remain temporarily
Provider backups and technical or security logs may expire later under provider retention cycles or be retained where law and fraud prevention require it. An official video already published is not automatically removed when the account is deleted; contact support to request a removal review.
Timing
In-app deletion is initiated immediately. External requests are processed after verification and are normally completed within 30 days, subject to applicable legal obligations.
